✅ Do / Due

In this chapter, you will complete three types of assignments.
Finish all tasks and upload any required files to your Google Drive in the Module 1 folder.

  1. Experiment + Quiz: Try out an AI activity (using your TWU Google Gemini account) and complete the Module 1 multiple-choice quiz in Google Forms.
  2. Short Answer: Choose 3 of the 4 prompts provided and write responses of a few paragraphs each in a Google Doc. Save and upload to your Module 1 folder.
  3. Reflection Journal: Compile all of your responses to the green-box reflection prompts from across this module into one document. Save and upload to your Module 1 folder.

🔍 Experiment with AI + Quiz

  • Experiment with AI (not graded, no submission):
    • AI Term Redefinition Exercise: Choose a major concept from your discipline and briefly define it; then, log into your TWU Gemini account and ask Gemini to define the same term. Compare the similarities and differences between your definition and the AI output.
    • Explore Google’s mini course AI for Anyone
  • Module 1 Multiple Choice Quiz:

💬 Short Answer Prompts

Choose 3 of the 4 prompts below. Write your responses (a few paragraphs each) in a Google Doc and upload to your Module 1 folder.

  • Prompt 1:
    • Where are you seeing AI show up in your work, or your daily life?
    • What excites or worries you the most about AI?
    • What was the most surprising concept from the module?
  • Prompt 2:
    • If AI learns from patterns, and humans learn from meaning—what does that difference say about how we think?
    • After all this, do you feel more confident or more cautious about using AI in your own learning? Why?
  • Prompt 3:
    • How does the idea that “technology does not drive change, people do” reshape your understanding of AI?
    • In what ways do you see your own values shaping how you use (or choose not to use) AI tools?
    • How would you practice keeping humans in the loop? What does that look like?
  • Prompt 4:
    • If AI learning is about optimization while human learning is about transformation, how should that shape our use of AI in schools or workplaces?
    • How might over-reliance on AI risk diminishing human creativity or judgment?
